About the Trainer

Crafted and delivered by Atul Shrivastava, an Electronics engineering graduate from IIT Guwahati (2006) and an alumnus of IIM Lucknow (2011). A techie at heart, he spends most of this free time working on electronics & programming projects and designing tech-workshops for kids & adults to give them a taste of these amazing fields.

Workshop Structure

Session 1: Make your first circuit

  • Learn about breadboard, battery, LED, Buzzer, switch
  • Interpret circuit diagrams and build your first LED+Switch circuit

Session 2: Multimeter & Resistors

  • Basic Understanding of Ohm’s law
  • Learn how to use multimeter to measure voltage drop, current & resistance
  • Build circuits with resistors in Parallel & Series

Session 3: Variable Resistors

  • Build a voltage divider circuit and understand its working
  • Build a circuit to control LED brightness using Potentiometer and learn about Photoresistors
  • Build a water-tank overflow alarm circuit

Session 4: Transistor

  • Learn about NPN Transistor and how to use it as an electronic switch in a circuit
  • Built a darkness detecting circuit using Photo-resistor & Transistor

Session 5: Relay

  • Build a circuit to light up a regular Bulb using Relay & Breadboard.
  • Use Relay, Photoresistor & Transistor to build a “smart bulb” that automatically turns on when it gets dark and turns off when its bright.
